Since launching Crisp Communications in 2004, Barb has produced fresh and highly creative copy for a wide range of Canadian charities in the health, international development, social services, environmental and advocacy fields.
During that time, she has worked both directly with charities and with many of Canada’s largest fundraising agencies, including contracts with Good Works and Stephen Thomas.
As a communications specialist, Barb is a deft storyteller who understands the intricacies of the non-profit sector. She channels her passion for making the world a better place into creating compelling copy that moves the reader to action.
After 10 years as a Senior Communications Specialist at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, where she produced major gift proposals and reports, Barb retired from full-time employment in October 2024. Previously, she worked full-time as the owner of Crisp Communications for eight years, a generalist fundraising at a Toronto theatre for two years, and spent 10 years as a fundraising consultant for two agencies, executing annual campaigns for a variety of non-profit clients.
